Modern slavery is a crime and a gross violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
Although our needs as a business are not likely to bring us into contact with anyone who will be there as a result of human trafficking or slavery, we are committed to remaining vigilant at all times and will ensure that if we have any suspicion of this we will report it to the relevant employees.
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to being a responsible business which operates ethically and with integrity across all aspects of our operations, including our supplier relationships. We support the ten principles of the Global Compat in relation to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and we also have an established Whistleblowing policy which forms part of our management system.
All our suppliers are expected to implement a zero tolerance approach to slavery, forced labour and human trafficking and comply with all local and national laws and regulations.
We will review our effectiveness in ensuring that slavery, forced labour or human trafficking are not taking place by seeking a compliance statement from current suppliers.
